On most boilers, the pressure gauge needle should sit between one and 1.5 bar, usually shown on the gauge as a green zone. This is the sweet spot for normal operation. If the needle climbs above this range, or into the red zone, it’s a sign your system is over-pressurised.

A simple first step is to bleed your radiators. This releases some of the extra water from the system and helps bring the pressure back down to a safe level. A leaking heat exchanger
