Who we are:
Northern Energy Gas Ltd. & associated companies operate in the UK, supplying homes and businesses with over 50 million litres of LPG. This statement covers Northern Energy and any references to ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘Northern Energy’ can be taken to mean any of our companies.
Northern Energy is based at its Head Office in Harrogate, has been in business for 94 years and now serves more than 10,000 customers from depots throughout England, Wales and Scotland. The business is fully committed to respecting the dignity and rights of all people and all communities, and is obligated to the fair and humane treatment of people both in its business and in its supply chain.
Our commitment:
Northern Energy is committed to taking whatever steps necessary to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking does not take place at any point within our business or supply chains. This includes, but is not limited to, slavery, forced or compulsory labour, child labour, human trafficking, and/or human rights abuses. We are committed to the principles of the s.54 Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We will not enter into or maintain relationships with persons and/or entities known to be involved in human rights abuses, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and child labour. Our anti-slavery policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking are not taking place anywhere in our business or in our supply chain.
Within our own business:

We encourage and expect our employees to raise any concerns using the appropriate channels, and to feel confident in doing so with no fear of reprisals. Any employee who breaches the Company’s Anti-slavery and human trafficking policy will face disciplinary action.
We operate a policy of taking care to do no harm to people, and with principles of respecting one another and acting in an honest, fair and responsible manner with all persons with whom we interact and do business.
Our supply chain:
We undertake due diligence when considering taking on new suppliers and regularly review our existing suppliers, taking steps to identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chain, to confirm that they hold their own suppliers to account, as well as having taken steps to eradicate modern slavery within their own businesses, inclusive of child labour.
This statement is our fifth Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking statement, and is made pursuant to section 54 (1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes our Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking statement for the financial year commencing 1st September 2026.
