Boilers

Time for a new heating oil boiler? Well, we’re always happy to give help and advice on choosing a new one or even changing to an alternative fuel source such as LPG. Whilst the Government has moved the date for phasing out high-carbon fossil fuel heating from 2026 to 2035, you may still want to consider changing to a more environmentally friendly fuel.

Cleaner and greener choices include LPG, as well as electricity and renewable solutions such as solar panels and biomass. There are pros and cons to each. LPG is cleaner burning than domestic heating oil, and is usually compatible with your existing heating system, meaning no need to change radiators or pipework. Check out our recent blog to weigh up whether heating oil or LPG is right for you.

It's worth remembering that renewable fuels are coming soon with HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) and renewable gasses such as BioLPG and rDME. In fact, we are already able to supply businesses with HVO.

Electricity is available almost anywhere in the UK and whilst more expensive than heating oil or LPG, there are a range of electric heating choices that can be easily and cheaply installed.  And then, of course, there are renewable solutions such as heat pumps - good for the environment, producing little or no emissions, but not suitable for all domestic properties.
