Knaresborough Young Farmers Club set up an annual Tractor Run in memory of 24 year old Mike Spink who had been a member of Knaresborough YFC since he was 10, and who sadly died in an accident whilst working in New Zealand in January 2017. Mike is the brother of Jen Spink who works at Northern Energy, and we, as a Company, are delighted to be sponsoring the event this year. The Tractor Run will again raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance which will be in addition to the thousands of pounds it has already raised for the air ambulance service. This year's event will take place on Sunday 10th March and promises to be a spectacular show, with about 150 tractors from as far away as Wakefield, Clitheroe and Easingwold taking part - a great even for tractor enthusiasts, both young and old! Participants are to gather at York Place car park in Knaresborough from 7.30am onwards for a 9am start and follow a scenic route passing through the villages of Burton Leonard, Bishop Monkton, Wormald Green and Markington to the back of Fountains Abbey, Grantley bank and through Grantley village before finally arriving at the Nidderdale Showground in Pateley Bridge for an ETA of around 12pm. Spectators are very welcome - please come and cheer the tractors along the route!
