Change of name for the UK’s LPG trade association and new vision

UKLPG, the trade association representing companies that operate in the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and bioLPG industry in the UK, has newly rebranded as Liquid Gas UK.  The association is dedicated to ‘the safe and effective development of LPG, with a focus on LPG’s role in providing low carbon heat and energy for homes and business that are off the mains gas grid, as well as helping to improve air quality in urban areas’.

Last Wednesday, 3rd July 2019, the trade association announced their new name as well as their vision for the industry.  The re-brand marks the industry’s drive to achieve a cleaner and greener future.

George Webb, Chief Executive, Liquid Gas UK commented that ‘The change to Liquid Gas UK comes at a time when we are seeing political and economic landscape on energy and climate change ramp up’, and went on to say that ‘it is important that the LPG industry is seen as a modern and innovative industry that is taking a lead in the challenges and opportunities ahead’.

LPG is a clean burning and highly versatile fuel.  It’s highly calorific value and clean burning properties make it an ideal choice whether for heating and cooking at home or in industry and agriculture.
