Whilst traditional LPG is derived from fossil fuels, it is recognised as the low carbon alternative, as according to Liquid Gas UK, the Trade Association for the renewable liquid gas industry, it emits 33% less CO2 than coal and 12% less than heating oil. It also emits almost no black carbon.
It’s the nearest alternative to mains gas too, providing a versatile, cleaner, and greener energy source.
And coming soon are renewable gases – the sustainable future for the many off-grid homes throughout the UK that rely on LPG to heat their homes. Both BioLPG and rDME are drop-in solutions that work with existing LPG tanks and boilers, and can reduce carbon emissions significantly.
