Boilers

Replacing an old and inefficient heating oil boiler can be a worthwhile investment. Not only is there the potential for cost savings due to increased efficiency, but there are environmental benefits too, as well as the peace of mind your new boiler will be reliable, and covered by a warranty. Heating oil boilers traditionally last for 15 to 20 years, depending on how well they've been maintained - an annual boiler service by an OFTEC-registered oil heating engineer can prolong the life of your boiler.

If you're considering getting a new heating oil boiler, the upfront cost of the boiler itself can be significant - then there's the cost of installation. It may be a good time to consider switching to an alternative energy source. Whilst the government is currently championing heat pumps, they are not suitable for every property, and can be extremely costly to install and require expensive additional energy efficiency measures. LPG. however, is a great choice for off-grid homes and is a cleaner and greener energy source than traditional heating oil.
