LP Gas Tank Information

Northern LPG Supplies provides its own tanks for storing LP Gas. We would complete a site survey and find an appropriate site for the tank, one which is in accordance with the LP Gas code of practice. In all instances, a concrete base is required on which the tank can sit. The tank would be installed by one of our qualified engineers and then Northern LPG Supplies are responsible for the maintenance and testing of the tank in accordance with the code of practice.

Any required work relating to the tank would be carried out by one of our engineers. Whilst you are a Northern LPG Supplies customer, the tank remains our responsibility and all you are required to do is rent the tank from us. The rental charge will vary slightly dependant on the size of the tank, but on average this would be £70.50, including vat, per annum and we invoice this in two installments.

Caring for your Tank

As part of our service we will regularly maintain your tank, making sure it is safe. We will:

Complete an inspection record check at every delivery and act upon any discrepancies.
Carry out preventative maintenance at least once every four years.
Replace the pressure relief valve and re-certify the tank every ten years.
