Payment Options

The Bill!

Unfortunately we all have to pay our bills and we are no exception! However we offer a range of payment options with something to suit everyone in an effort to make it as simple as possible for our customers.

Direct debit*

Make your payments easier by either spreading the cost of your fuel over the year (interest free), or by making a one off payment each time your fuel is delivered on the due payment date by direct debit. This helps the environment by reducing paperwork, and at the same time you benefit from our Free Automatic Refill Service and Free Emergency Breakdown Cover.

There are two options available

1. Spread the cost of your fuel bills throughout the year by making interest free monthly payments, within your credit limit. Payments would be calculated on an average unit price per litre, taking into consideration the rises and falls of the oil market.
2. Pay for each delivery in full by variable direct debit, which will take the full amount of money owing from your bank account on the 10th of the month following the month of delivery.

• Monthly payments allow you to budget your finances and avoid large bills over the winter months, whilst paying no interest
• A Free Automatic Refilling Service, which offers you peace of mind
• A Free Emergency Breakdown Cover on your heating system and boiler is included
• Our experienced and friendly sales staff will monitor your account, and payments can be altered to reflect changes in your usage or personal circumstances with your approval
• Save on writing out cheques, postal costs, and costs of envelopes, and therefore help to save our environment
• Never be subject to the 10 pence per litre surcharge for late payments on those forgotten bills
• Our special package The Privilege Plus Package, where we pay the VAT on fuel deliveries.
• A Boiler Servicing Package is available which allows monthly interest free payments by direct debit - having your boiler serviced annually can reduce your fuel consumption by up to 10% a year.

Debit/credit card

Please call our accounts department on 01423 770170 to make your payment. A 2.5% charge is made for credit card payments. There is no charge for debit cards.

Cheque

Please ensure your Northern Energy account number is written on the back of your cheque, and don't forget to deduct the 10p per litre surcharge shown on your invoice (which only applies to payment not made within our credit terms).
