Boiler Service Specification
Northern Energy Supplies is pleased to provide you with a comprehensive annual boiler service which will ensure you have total peace of mind and a system which works efficiently.
What is covered?
- The annual boiler service covers the total cost of the annual service on:
- A boiler up to 125,000 BTU's, - average domestic boiler
- A boiler over 125,000 BTU's, - larger domestic or commercial boiler
- An Aga or Converted Rayburn
- A Combi boiler
The service involves: Stripping down and cleaning the boiler heat exchanger, cleaning the oil burner and inspection for wear and tear and renewing the nozzle and filter if needed, and re-assembling and testing of the system to OFTEC requirements. A check of the condition of the oil tank is carried out to ensure this is in good condition and meets the regulations set out by the Environmental Law.
What is not covered?
The boiler service does not cover you for any parts which require replacing. Any additional work required due to a faulty part would be done so with your agreement and at your own cost.
Who does the work?
A fully qualified, OFTEC registered engineer will carry out the work. This engineer is contracted and approved by Northern Energy. In the interest of your safety all engineers are fully trained to OFTEC standard.
When will the service take place?
The service will be carried out within 6 months of signing the contract and thereafter every twelfth month. We will send you notification of the planned service date at least two weeks prior to it happening, allowing changes to be made if necessary.
How do I renew my annual boiler service?
As the Annual Boiler Service contract approaches its twelfth month we will write to you to arrange its renewal, and upon receipt of payment the service will be arranged.
Moving home?
Your Annual Boiler Service cover could move with you. If you are planning to move home you have three options.
- If you are moving to a new home which also has heating oil, then the existing cover can be transferred to your new home.
- If your new home is on mains gas and the scheme still has some of its time to run, then we would need to reimburse you for the boiler service if it had not been carried out.
- You can leave the existing cover for the new occupiers.
